Lecturer

I'm an experienced teacher and lecturer

For many years I taught two popular courses, Introduction to Cultural Anthropology and Cultures of the Pacific, at the University of Pittsburgh. I often lectured in this classroom,120 David Lawrence Hall, sometimes looking like this.

I have received many awards for my teaching, including the Chancellor's Distinguished Teaching Award and the Provost's Award for Excellence in Mentoring of doctoral students from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as recognition from national organizations such as Phi Eta Sigma, Golden Key National Honor Society, and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars for excellence in education.
